Last Princess: The Story of Princess Ka'lulani of Hawai'i

Princess Ka'lulani, born in 1875, was eleven years old when her mother the Queen of Hawai'i passed away leaving her as the heir to the throne.    The princess was sent to England for schooling but carried with her her mother's vision that she would never marry and would never take the throne.

Princess Ka'lulani fought bravely for the independence of her island kingdom.  Her leadership in times of political tumult is legendary.
