King Bidgood's in the Bathtub

The king isn't in the counting house this time - nope, he's in the bathtub, and he won't come out! One by one the courtiers will try to talk him out of the tub and back to his job of ruling the kingdom. No one succeeds and then, SURPRISE! This book is a 1986 Caldecott Honors Award winner.

Oh my, the king is in the bathtub and he won't come out! What will we do? Every well-dressed member of the court seems to have an idea of how to pry him loose but one by one they try out their ideas only to find themselves drawn in. The king and all of his bubbles are still getting along swimmingly! But, a king is a king and he belongs on a throne and not in a tub. Perplexed until a young page comes up with a royal idea! He pulls the plug and the mischievous king prances away towel and all! A delightful romp and great read aloud at bedtime, bathtime or anytime. Recommended by a very special young friend of mine who is hearing it over and over again with great glee! Thank you Brynn and daughter!
