How does a thirteen-year-old boy handle war when it come to his own town and even to his own home? That's the question that lies before our protagonist, Joseph, whose town has been overcome by the Redcoats during the American Revolution. Father has gone off to fight for the American side, and Joseph is left to figure out how to handle his feelings and his values.
