Kate is headed to Oregon to spend a week with her Aunt Melanie, but, their plans change when a grove of giant redwood trees is discovered in Lost Crater. The people in the nearby mill town are loggers who want to save the town by cutting down the grove. Some, though, say the rare trees should be protected. Caught in the conflict, Kate goes to the crater and finds herself time-traveled back 500 years to a world she does not know. As she travels, she meets Gashra who is determined to destroy everything he cannot control.
