Julep O'Toole: Confessions of a Middle Child

Julep sees herself as being just average. There's nothing she can do particularly well. She longs to be noticed by Danica, the coolest girl in the 6th grade. Then her diary is read over the P.A. system at school, and she throws up her egg salad sandwich in front of everyone. What hope does she have now of changing her life? But sometimes life hands you something that makes you see yourself in a new light.
