Ah the power of a well-written letter. Alex, the oldest son, has been kicked out of his own room by the birth of his new little sister, Baby Annie and Alex cannot take another minute of sharing his room or his stuff with his little brother, Ethan. Would you want to sleep in a room with someone who puts crayons up his nose and barks like a walrus? So, Alex is taking his case to the top: to his mother. She declines to get involved and claims exhaustion. Imagine it....But his father is willing to negotiate and with true diplomatic skills (new vocabulary word for Alex) they begin to work things out, reading letter after letter and they come up with a great plan. They'll make Alex a special place of his own. So there's the storyline for you but prepare to laugh yourself silly looking at the highly entertaining and totally hilarious illustrations of David Catrow who is in his prime with this book. You know, this whole sharing thing really can have an up side or at least so Alex will soon discover. 32 pages Ages 4-8
