I Put a Spell on You

Mutual Scrivener is being enrolled in Gordon Liddy Community Middle School. This is his first time in a public school, since he's always been home-schooled so no one could corrupt him. His parents warn him to watch the students and the teachers for signs of corruption. Mutual has been enrolled here to win the upcoming spelling bee. He's about to meet quite a cast of characters at school. There's Harlan who wants to do something to go down in history and be a source of legend for students to follow. Then, there's Jennifer whose parents are trying to build her college applicaton by having her enroll in every possible extracurricular activity. All is being watched by Chrissie Woodward and duly reported to the principal. There is a great parody going on of the Nixon Watergate Scandal. The book is written in the different voices of the characters, taking turns chapter by chapter. Very tongue in cheek and fun!
