Horrid Henry's Stinkbomb

Horrid Henry's Stinkbomb

Horrid Henry is a horrible boy. As we meet him he is determined to win the reading contest so he can go to an amusement park. He hates to read. He never reads. He puts off reading until the day before the contest ends and then steals his brothers annotations and makes up some books that don't even exist to inflate his list. The person with the most books read wins the prize. "Theme park, theme park, theme park," he chants and then rushes down to grab the prize when his name is called, "Gimme my prize," he says as he snatches the tickets out of another contestant's hand.

Henry continues his horribleness in the next chapter where he tosses his brother out of a secret club and conjures up a dire attack on the girls just as they are tossing a girl out of their secret club and conjuring up a dire weapon to use against the boys. Beware the stinkbombs and the Dungeon Drink. Beware also Sour Susan, Moody Margaret, Rude Ralph and Miss Battle-Axe, the teacher. Highly entertaining.
