A funny, heartwarming picture book about a father and his child's boundless curiosity that reminds us what's important to hold onto in life.
It's time to leave the house, but...where are the keys?? As Daddy rummages through the mess, he hands a water bottle to his toddler and says, "Hold, please." This accidental request turns into an adventure when the child decides holding is fun and wants to hold EVERYTHING!
Before long, the toddler has their arms full with their favorite stuffie, toy plane, even the family pet, and has set their sights on more ambitious items—the rain, a tree, and more—until it becomes too much to hold. Luckily, Daddy's always there to hold them.---from the publisher

It's amazing how the world looks to a toddler. I would imagine family life varies from house to house but this story just might sound familiar to the parents of many toddlers.
We begin with Dad hunting for his keys and asking his toddler to "hold" his water bottle while he searches. Instantly, the toddler's world has a new exciting and beyond fun thing to do. This little one will proceed to discover item after item that Dad needs to hold. If holding is good enough for Dad, then holding is good enough for this mighty mite.
Life with a toddler can be downright demanding. At the end of the day your patience is wandering around somewhere down the street and you just want to sit down and rest every part of you.
But there is joy lurking there in those days as well as the wise parents can see beyond the frustration of no, no, no, and into the years ahead when their child will grow up with a strong sense of self and identity.
It takes the hilarious patience and unconditional love that this father has to get to that very special place.
Read this one together with your toddler and watch for the glee. You'll end up laughing, too.
Real life does that to ya.
