Ah, young love. It's an ordinary day for Henry, the cat. He wakes up to the smell of blueberry muffins, goes about getting ready for his day and heads to school with a muffin in his backpack. He and his friend, Sancho, are on their way when they meet a football player from the "high school team" and he sends Henry out for a pass. "Go deep," he says. It's guys being guys.
Now this football player has a sister named Chloe, a bunny. "Henry knew his sister. He thought she was the loveliest girl in his class." At school Henry makes his move out on the playground showing Chloe his best forward roll. Chloe responds with a perfect cartwheel. Then, happily, someone starts a game of tag and Henry gets to chase Chloe. Best of all though, the teacher changes the all-important seating arrangement of the desks and Chloe and Henry end up side by side.
This is such a delightful, refreshing and charming story about young love. It really rings true. 48 pages (Although the story isn't about Valentine's Day, it would make a great read aloud for Valentine's Day.)
