Good old Uncle Jake is doing something really special for Henry...he's building him a tree house. But, when he gets this great gift all finished and Henry goes up the tree, he realizes that his best friend, Mudge, can't climb trees. He's a dog. Now Henry has to figure out how to be with his dog and not hurt his well-meaning uncle's feelings.
