If you've read the Gilbert books before, you probably remember that Lewis is the boy in Gilbert's class who bothers him the most. Gilbert is surprised when he receives an invitation from Lewis to go to Lewis' birthday party. Why would Lewis want to invite Gilbert? Maybe Lewis is going to change and start being a friend.
