If this is the South and Sheila Turnage lives there, I want to move down there too.

Mo and Dale, stars of THREE TIMES LUCKY, have returned in this rip-snorter filled with quick one-liners, good friends, wacky characters, haunted pasts and an Inn with a ghost. When it looks like the old Tupelo Inn is going to be bought at auction by an outsider known as Rat Face, Miss Lana steps up and buys it herself and ends up  owning an old delapidated place filled with memories and complete with at least one ghost. She and Grandmother Miss Lacy are going to be partners in raising this old place from the dead with the help of the love of Mo's life, Lavender and a steady stream of quick to leave handymen.

While all the action is happening under the swinging chandelier, Mo and Dale are battling the challenges of the sixth grade.  Their steady, unflappable teacher, Miss Retzyl, has assigned everyone a history project.  Every student has to choose an older person for an interview.  Mo and Dale decide to team up and try to interview the ghost.

If the urge ever comes  over you and you decide you want to spend time in a bar swapping stories with someone amazing, take Sheila Turnage with you. You are probably going to end up snorting your drink so just brace yourself.   This woman could clearly write stand up comedy if she so chose.

Her character Mo is so quick with the hilarious comments that catch you completely off guard and that matched with her comedic timing and amazing gift with the English language make the pages of this one fly.  You will be breathless and mesmerized by the pacing and you will be laughing out loud at the hilarity.  There is a wonderful balance between poignant moments, curve balls, romance, mistakes made, dysfunctional families, school assignments, and flat out laugh your head off. A rare gem.

Will Mo and Dale nail that interview?  Will Miss Lana and Grandmother Miss Lacy be able to pay the mortgage on the Inn?  Will the Ghost Bait set the live trap?

It's so wonderful to find yourself in the hands of a gifted storyteller who obviousy had as much fun writing this as you will have reading it.  I made myself read it in three gulps not wanting to overlook a single word or any one of the magical moments.  This one you want to last forever.
