If you haven't read Franny before, then let me introduce you. Franny is not your ordinary run of the mill girl. She has a whole lot more on her mind than dolls. In fact, what she loves most in the world is science and all things scientific. She is a mad scientist. Franny's mother is the challenge in this book as she is trying to get Franny to spend time on some more normal childhood pursuits like soccer. Franny doesn't want to play the game. She wants to concentrate on her scientific adventures so she does what any self-respecting scientist would do and makes some robot versions of herself to keep her mother satisfied. Cue Beethoven's Fifth. The robots my dear reader have minds of their own.... Funny and highly entertaining. Read one and you'll want to read them all. The Franny K. Stein series continues. 112 pages Ages 7-10
