Forever

Seventeen year olds Katherine and Michael have arrived at the point in their lives where they are exploring their sexuality and so are their friends. How important is it to do "it?' When will you know if you want to do "it?"

By page 24 of this realistic story these two kids have made their way to unhooking the bra but not the jeans. Katherine isn't quite ready for that yet. But, they'll have more dates and more chances to decide if sex is going to be part of their lives and their relationship.

This book was written in the seventies and it shows. The "f" word appears not as a curse word but as a verb. The progression of the sexuality from hand holding to "Ralph" holding is pretty natural and normal. This is a frank revealing exploration of sex that will fascinate those who are wondering how you make your way down this compelling path.

The author lays out four questions to consider regarding a sexual relationship and uses the story line to explore the meaning of true love. Will Michael and Katherine stay together forever or is this a "love" that will be shed when the next truer love sails into view?

Realistic. Thoughtful. Sexual. A great conversation starter for parents and kids. I recommend the parents get their own copy of the book and get one for their kids and then let the talking begin.
