Jonathan is a young teen living in New Jersey at the time of the American Revolution. He thinks war is an exciting adventure, and he wants to be part of it. His father is opposed, but, when Jonathan finds himself with an opportunity to enlist to fight Hessians, he signs up in the heat of the moment and goes off for glory.
