Fairly Fairy Tales

Though this story begins with the traditional “Once Upon a Time”, it certainly takes the reader and listeners on an unexpected path through fairytale land. A blend of and imagination, the nightly bedtime routine has not changed but the tales have a contemporary flavor all of their own. The colorful illustrations add to the playfulness of the text. Ages 4-7

*********************************************************

Once upon a time a little boy couldn’t fall asleep even after Mama had read him all of his favorite fairy tales. In just a few words, Mama retells the fairy tales, but with an updated twist that finds the Three Little Pigs with solar panels and Little Red Riding Hood in the beauty parlor with the Big Bad Wolf. Finally, the boy can go to sleep…maybe. This fun set of fractured fairy tales begs for a child’s participation and repeated examination of the illustrations.
