Trust National Geographic to create an animal series that has out of this world photos of animals. The author info on the back of the book says the authors have spent more than 25 years in Africa studying elephants, lions and other 'creatures.' It shows. This book gives you more than just information. You feel as though you are experiencing the elephants and as though you are there in their world. After the journey through the land of elephants, there is information on how we can play a part in protecting these amazing animals. What would the world be like if there were no elephants? There are facts at a glance and some websites for more information. Outstanding.
