Adopted daughter of fabulously famous Hollywood stars, lovely Chloe-Grace has grown up with cameras flashing and the public clamoring for news about the first celebrity adoptee from China. But now her parents may be splitting up and having reporters waiting at the gates of her exclusive Beverly Hills high school isn’t fun at all.
With the help of her mother’s fashion stylist and a discount clothes makeover, she becomes Lilly and transfers to a high school across town where everything will be just normal, for a change.
Of course, there’s plenty of drama at Hollis High, from a possible connection to her birth family to having to sing in the spring musical (Chloe does not have her dad’s amazing voice!) to meeting a cute guy who likes her for herself, not her celebrity status.
But can Lilly stay out of the spotlight and keep her new friends from realizing that she’s Chloe? Will her parents really get divorced? Why can’t reality be as simple as a reality show?? 245 pages
