Everglades

The storyteller began by telling the story of the river, the Everglades. He told about the land that formed from shells and the water that spilled out from Lake Okeechobee. He told about the alligators and the orchids and all the animals that chose to make their homes there. The five children listened and looked around. Then they asked questions. One day the world will be in the hands of our children, and they can work together to make it a better place.
