Three short stories about three great friends: Big Duck, Little Duck and Porcupine. Just enough text pairs with the bright, simply drawn illustrations. In the first story Big Duck and Porcupine decide to go for a picnic. Little Duck, noticing a cloud working hard to cover the sun, brings an umbrella to the festivities. How fun to make something really great out of a rainy day.
Two other stories follow with Big Duck forgetting what it is he is trying to remember. Thank goodness, once again, for Little Duck, who saves the day and in story number three, Big Duck and Porcupine decide to go camping with a list of 100 items or possibly even more. They have so many things on their to-take list, it looks like they'll need a truck to get them there. Turns out Little Duck knows all about camping.
Fun, funny, the little guy outwitting the big guy, these stories are charming and clever enough to interest the most reluctant early reader.
