Danny walks into the school cafeteria and sees the usual long line to buy lunch. Business as usual. But, when he sits down at the table it isn't business as usual. His hot dog is definitely bigger than usual and definitely redder than usual. He asks his friend Wendell to take a look and as Wendell examines the wiener, it suddenly bites him. Did it really? Well, now Wendell is not prone to a fantastic personality so when he says it bit him you can believe him. Plus, there was that time a few months back when the potato salad bit Big Eddie. So, Danny looks at Wendell and sure enough there is a row of bite marks. Is Wendell about to come down with wiener pox? Or something worse? Danny decides to investigate and heads deep into the cafeteria ladies' freezer. After making his way past the bags of cole slaw (cole slaw comes in bags?) he sees what he's come for.....those wieners are....prepare yourself....they are a product of Transylvania...says so right on the package. What is going to become of Wendell? The fun begins. 205 pages Ages 7-10
