Dive #1: The Discovery

This is the first book in the trilogy of the Dive books. How did these four kids get the prestigious internship with the Poseidon program? Kaz comes here after paralyzing another kid during a hockey game. Adriana comes because there's no room for her at the museums where she is usually sent. Star has a physical disability that makes her limp. Dante is a great photographer but seems to have trouble with color. Something strange is going on. The kids have to fight for a chance to go out on the boat. When they finally sneak on board, they begin to sense that the explorers are not being truthful about their actual mission. What's going on here? The story includes information on the process of diving.
