I always tell kids that this book is Alice In Wonderland Meets The Twilight Zone. Coraline's parents are really not paying the right amount of attention to her and she gets very curious about a door that leads to nowhere. There is something about that door and it will eventually lead her to a new world and a new mother. This mother takes really good care of Coraline ... hmmm ...or does she? Where are her parents? Creepy!
