We all know about chameleons and how they tend to blend in to their surroundings. Well, meet a chameleon of a whole different color. This is Chamelia and she likes to stand out. No blending in for this girl. All through the day at school, Chamelia is her boisterous, colorful self. She's unique and she likes to be special. But sometimes that specialness seems to get in the way. This is a great story with wonderful humorous moments and wonderful moments of just being so full of yourself your could burst. It's a great resource for helping children understand that sometimes it's important to join in and belong, to bring your special self to be a part of the whole big picture. This would be a nice read aloud for children who don't quite get the part about working with others in the classroom or as part of any group endeavor. But, the uniqueness of each child is celebrated as well. 40 pages Ages 5-8
