Blue Goose

If it's a Nancy Tafuri book, you know the pictures are going to be big and vivid and great for storytimes with young children. This is the story of a blue goose and her friends on the farm. When Farmer Gray goes away, the animals decide to give everything a new coat of paint. The yellow chick paints things yellow. The red hen paints things red. You get the idea. Sometimes they work together and mix colors like red and blue to make a new color, purple. This is a wonderfully simple story to teach colors and how they mix to make other colors. Since the goose paints everything blue at the end except the moon, this makes a nice bedtime story too.
