For fifth grader Jill Brenner, fitting in has never been a problem. She's not the most popular kid in her class, but she also has plenty of friends; unlike Linda Fischer. Nobody hangs around with Linda, partly because she has a weight problem. When Linda chooses whales for her science report, her classmates, including Jill, begin calling her "Blubber" and bullying her. But as things begin to get out of control, and Jill stands up for Linda, she finds herself being picked on by the same people she thought were her friends. Does she have the bravery to stand up for herself? As long as there is bullying, Judy Blume's timeless story will resonate just as strongly as ever.
