For fans of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series: Meet Big Nate, world-class boredom buster and definitely NOT the teacher’s pet. "--from the publisher

*********

Last year the school yearbook was edited by Nick Blonsky who sent the Chronicle on a downward spiral.  They're going to need a great editor this year to bring The Chronicle back.   The friends find out this year's editor is none other than Gina.    Nate nominates his good friend, Francis into being the co-editor of the Chronicle.  To their surprise, Mrs. Hickson, the teacher in charge of the yearbook staff, accepts the nomination.

Nate suggests that the Chronicle could use some more candid photographs to make it more interesting to the students.  He needs a camera if he's going to take the pictures.  Keeping his streak of sloppiness alive, Nate manages to lose the camera the yearbook staff uses and gets Francis into hot water.

Nate's friends have some ideas for how to clean up his act.  The hilarious times continue.
