Paul Stickland has moved on from the world of dinosaurs ( DInosaur Stomp) and moved into the world of bugs. Open the book and an enormous pink bug with blue polka dots is sitting there looking curiously at a little blue bug with purple spots and great big eyes. BIg bug and Little Bug are meeting each other and they are very, very different. Explore the different kinds of bugs you might find...striped ones and spotted ones. Turn the page and meet hard bugs and soft bugs. The iamges are slightly cartoonish but soft and brightly colored. Everyone is smiling! The final page turn gives us quite a crescendo as a huge yellow flower opens up and reveals the bugs posed on the vibrant petals. What a fun surprise. Ages 2-5 20 pages
Great for a storytime with toddlers.
