You really do need to meet nine-year-old Allie Finkle. She's the kind of young lady who worries that the turtles in the small pond at the local Chinese restaurant might lose their lives when someone finally orders the turtle soup off the menu. In fact, she checks on the turtles every time the family goes there for dinner. She has bigger problems than that, however, when her parents announce that the family is moving to a new home, and Allie faces the fact that she is about to leave behind the security of her wonderful room, her best friend, and her teacher, to go to a house where there might be a "Zombie hand of doom" living in the attic. You get the idea. 256 pages Ages 8-11
