The Other Felix

“Felix is afraid to sleep until one night when he meets a boy who looks just like him and knows how to fight the monsters in his nightmares – and is also named Felix.  Now Felix can’t wait to go to bed and dream of their adventures.”

Felix has trouble sleeping since he almost always dreams of monsters.  One night, in his dream, he meets another Felix, who is not afraid of monsters.  As Felix and the other Felix become friends and Felix learns how to fight the monsters, Felix also deals with a new student in his class who gets Felix in trouble. Perhaps this book is best as a read aloud with a parent.  There are some difficulties telling what is real and what is part of Felix’s dream.

From the book jacket flap: “Debut children’s author Keir Graff crafts a fantastical, psychological novel about monsters, survival, and the world of dreams.”
