"Muddy and messy, not dainty and delicate at all." That's Emmalina. She loves to play with the frogs and get muddy in the pond. But, when fairies turn 100 years old they have to do something special to earn their wings. The other fairies are all finding something special to do. Twink opened the petals of a flower and got her wings. But when Emmalina tries it things just don't go well. Dressed in her delicate green leaf dress, Emmalina is getting worried. Will she be the only one who doesn't earn her wings. Then, her friends the frogs have a problem. Their children don't know how to jump-is something wrong with them. Happily, Emmalina knows the secret-they're tadpoles. She guards them until they are grown and ready to be frogs. Hooray! A bit of a fairy with gumption and not happy to settle for the usual tale.
