Innerstar University: Braving the Lake

The formula for the Innerstar University series of books looks like this. You are the main character and you have a whole crew of friends or guides who show up in the various stories. As you go through the story, you make choices just as though the story was happening to you and based on those choices, you're directed to turn to a certain page to continue the story according to your direction. There are 20 possible endings to the book depending on how you've chosen to proceed. In this story You know how to swim and you can have fun at the pool but you are terrified of swimming at the lake. There's some bullying going on and some name calling and some social situations to deal with. What choices will you make? Are you going to end up in over your head? Another great choice for a Mother/Daughter Book Club.

120 pages Ages 8-12

In Braving the Lake, the reader is faced with her fear of swimming in a lake. Her friend Emmy’s birthday party will take place at the lake should she go and try to conquer her fear or will she make up an excuse not to go. You have 20 different endings.

A nice series for girls to be the star and to think of all the alternatives to decisions that can be made.
