Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!

This is the year when Mr. McGreeley is finally going to plant a garden. So he gathers his seed, hoes his rows and waits. To his great delight, sure enough, up come the green sprouts. But to his frustration, tippy, tippy, pat, here come three bunnies and they are just as delighted as Mr. McGreeley to see those green sprouts poke through the dirt. Nibble nibble nibble. Mr. McGreeley is determined not to be denied his vegetables so he puts up a little fence. The next day he needs a bigger fence and so on and so on until he builds a gigantic wall that no puff tail can surpass. Hooray! Mr. McGreeley has won...he has beaten those pesky pests...and now to enjoy the fruits and vegetables of his labor...Wonderful sound effects march across each page as the bunnies ramp up their offense and it will be up to the audience to decide who they'll root for....the farmer or his foes.

*******

Mr. McNeely has never planted a vegetable garden. This year he is going to give it a try and he has dreams of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and peas. He hoes and he sows and then he watches his garden grow. One morning he comes out to see his little plants sprouting up and finds they have been gnawed. The varmints went Muncha, Muncha, Muncha and now the sprouts are nibbled down to the nub. Mr. McNeely is mad at those little puff tails and he builds a short wire fence around the garden. The sun goes down and the moon comes up and the next morning the damage has been done again. Now it's a battle of the wits between the munching bunnies and the man with a yen for a fresh salad. Who is going to win. "Tippy, Tippy, Tippy, Pat!"
