Mushroom in the Rain

Here comes the rain and an ant is looking for a place to stay dry. He slips under a mushroom and waits. Soon one after another, animals come and seek shelter with him. Each one pleads his case to be allowed to join the crowd. Eventually a rabbit comes up breathlessly seeking a sanctuary from the fox that is pursuing him. Will the animals share their dry spot? And by the way, how did that little mushroom manage to shelter so many furry, winged critters? Then out comes the sun and ribbit comes the answer....mushrooms grow in the rain! This is one of my favorite storytime books.
