At each stop, the travelers, guided by a young woman, are treated to amazing sights. Yet discovering natural and man-made phenomena is not the purpose of this beautiful book. That it is a tribute to those who teach our children becomes clear by the end: "Our classroom is our vessel,/always headed someplace new./Because you are our teacher,/We'll explore the world with you."
