Pets are wonderful things but Babymouse seems to be pet-challenged. All of her goldfish have gone to the pet cemetery. Everyone else has a pet. Think about it. There's Clifford and Elizabeth. There's Wilbur and Charlotte. Maybe a hamster or a turtle? Ah, there's really nothing like a dog.
