Kiss in Time

When Jack left the European tour group and headed for the countryside, he never dreamed he’d meet a gorgeous princess. She looked so lovely, sleeping there – he just had to kiss her.

When Talia awoke to find a strange young man in her palace, she got an even bigger shock – she (and her kingdom) had slept for over 300 years! Her parents had warned her and warned her not to touch a spindle so she could avoid the evil witch Malvolia’s curse, but spinning wool seemed like such a harmless thing to try…

Since the curse could only be broken by true love’s kiss, this Jack fellow must be her only true love, Talia concludes. But Jack isn’t so sure, especially when they escape from the awakening kingdom, back into the 21st century. Imagine Talia’s surprise at carts that moved without oxen and the scandalously clothed people she meets, people who have no idea of how they should behave to a princess.

Things get even more interesting when Jack takes Talia home to Miami – airplanes? Parents who don’t care what you are doing? Swimsuits?? Talia is learning to get along in this new time and new place when Malvolia appears to make sure that there is no happy ending!

A fun retelling of Sleeping Beauty for teen readers. 400 pages
