Willow's Whispers

We've needed this one for a while! Willow's voice is very, very, very quiet and that keeps her from being heard at the important times in her day. When two classmates invite her to sit with them, her voice is so soft they don't hear her answer yes and she doesn't get to join them. When the mean bully girl in her class takes the babydoll away from her just as she's planning a picnic, no sound comes out of Whisper to get that doll back. The day is full of these frustrating moments where she just isn't heard. At night when her Daddy is tucking her in, he talks to her and reassures her that her big strong voice is just caught inside somewhere and one day it will come charging out. Willow thinks about her problem and comes up with a great solution...she makes herself a microphone out of recycled materials and with the help of her new invention, everyone can hear her loud and clear...until it breaks. For all of those shy children who struggle to speak up and be heard, here is a wonderful book to help them gain courage and to help others gain insight and understanding. 32 pages Ages 4-7
