This was a really interesting book. It told a lot of stories from the culture. I like the way it had a lot of detail in it. I would definitely recommend this book!
Where The Mountain Meets The Moon, written by Grace Lin, is about a girl named Minli who spends her days in hot and sunny rice fields harvesting just enough rice for her, father, and mother. She lives in a one room hut and is always wishing for a better life and fortune. One day she hears about the Old Man of the Moon who will grant one wish every 99 years. On her way to see the man, she meets a lonely dragon, a ferocious king, and she faces a rain forest considered impossible to get through.
Anyone in grades 4 and above is encouraged to read this. It’s adventurous, suspenseful and addicting. This book definitely deserves 3 stars. Be sure to read this book now!
