Eric is a young boy with a mommy who is sick.
A few months ago Mommy had to go to the hospital for an operation. She has something called cancer and the doctor is going to cut the cancer out of Mommy's breast. It was so scary for Eric. When Mommy goes in for her operation, Grandma takes care of Eric. He has a lot of funny feelings. His stomach doesn't feel right. He is scared and he is sad.
It takes Mommy a while to get better. She has to rest a lot of the time. She can't do all the things she used to do with Eric. That makes Eric angry and maybe a little afraid.
Eric also has a lot of questions. Did he make Mommy sick? Can he catch cancer from Mommy?
