Mother python is launching her youngsters out into the forest. She urges them to “grow up big and green.” The babies are happy to go off … except for one, Verdi. He’s not sure about this growing up thing, so he goes off to ask some python elders for answers to his questions. After talking to several wise pythons, Verdi decides he thinks it might be better to stay yellow and striped and never to turn green. Adventures abound.
