The Truth About Truman School

“When we started the website we wanted it to be honest. We wanted it to be about the real Truman Middle School, to say things that the school newspaper would never say, and give everyone a chance to say what they wanted to say, too. But given the chance, some people will say anything. Anything to hurt someone else…”

When Amr and Zebby start the web site, all they want is a place for students to post the truth, as they see it. Then someone posts a negative comment about Lilly, and things snowball out of control. When Lilly disappears, the web site is called into question, and Amr and Zebby have to examine their motives for not removing the negative post about Lilly in the first place. An excellent timely book about what it’s like to be in middle school during a technological era.  Ages 10 and up.
