Eula is a square cat in a round world and she feels different and wrong. Using a geometric square cat with simple lines but big personality we share in the plight of the square. I mean when you can't wear red shoes, what is left for you? Stripes aren't happening either. It's tough being a square cat. Her friends come to the rescue and try to give her some roundness with hoop earrings and pursed lips and even doughnuts. Nothin'. And then there's the whole tipping over thing. So Patsy and Maude try something else. They get into square boxes and begin to see life from Eula's side of the world. Square can be pretty special and even "quite dazzling." Suddenly, being a square isn't such a bad thing after all. Plenty of white space and very simple shapes keep your eye on the square or the round. Fun and a nice way to teach about walking in someone else's shoes...just don't wear the red ones if you're a square.
