Six children are about to hear the call.  They won't understand why or what they are doing but they will leave the safety and comfort of their homes and they will make their way to ColdHarbour, an empty place filled with food dumps and desperation.

Mum is about to serve a beautiful Sunday dinner and everyone in the family is excited to see her bring in the last plates.  Then, suddenly Milo begins to eat voraciously devouring the corn and the beans and the potatoes and the chicken. Everyone looks at him in horror. What is he doing?  Who is he becoming?  MIlo is clearly changing before their eyes?

Walter is enormous.  Helen is listening to people's thoughts.  Emily and Fredda are scrabbling about like crabs on the ground.  Thomas is beginning to recognize the power of his beauty which can reassure and gently calm the most troubled soul.

Six children stand between the world and the roar that only they can hear.  Will they be enough?  Can they understand what is happening to them in time to join forces?

This is book one of the trilogy.
