From the publisher:

"Failing to get the attention of her busy father, a lonely girl turns back to a fantastic world for friendship and adventure. It’s her third journey into the enticing realm of kings and emperors, castles and canals, exotic creatures and enchanting landscapes. This time, it will take something truly powerful to persuade her to return home, as a gripping backstory is revealed that will hold readers in its thrall. Caldecott Honor winner Aaron Becker delivers a suspenseful and moving climax to his wordless trilogy, an epic that began with the award-winning Journey and continued with the celebrated follow-up Quest."

**********

Journey and Quest began the series and here is the grand finale.

Somewhere in the city a father sits deeply engrossed in his drawing board.  His daughter stands hopefully at his door trying to catch his attention.  But to no avail.

So armed with her red crayon she draws herself a doorway in her bedroom wall and morphs through it to a magical forest filled with glowing lanterns and strings of light.  This is the third time she has set forth with the lure of faraway exotic castles, dragon boats and moonlit nights.

A trail of bright red objects left behind lead the father as he follows the footsteps of his girl and discovers her in the magic world.  An epic battle ensues as soldiers attempt to make off with her chalk/crayon.   Will she choose to leave this wondrously constructed world to return home?

Action, adventure, brilliant color and a quest grand enough to delight hearts of children.  We celebrate the power of story, our need to share it with each other and ultimately the most quintessential magic of all... love.
