Seems to me that every year we suddenly find ourselves in a patch of the doldrums in which everyone is starting to get cranky, picky and out of sorts.  When the pique has peaked at your school or your house, get a copy of this book and start reading aloud.

In the town of Bonnyripple no one keeps a grudge except old Cornelius, the official Grudge Keeper. Yes, things go wrong in Bonnyripple, but all the "ruffled feathers, petty snits, minor tiffs and major huffs, insults, umbrage, squabbles, dust-ups and imbroglios" all find their way to one ramshackle cottage where they are tucked away safely into corners and cracks.

In fact a steady stream of tightly clutched pieces of paper marches its way to the Crudge Keeper.  If you have a grudge, you know that Cornelius will welcome it into his Grudge collection.

What sort of offenses qualify you ask?  Oh, they run the gamut, they do.  Until the day when the wind rises and all of the quibbles and left- handed compliments have been blown about into one large whopping pile.

It's a town filled with high dudgeon and perhaps you know of a place just like this.  What does one do when one's dudgeon has been blown far afield?  Would you claim your bit of grudgery from the pile?

This is a delightful romp through the world of not getting along well with others.  If you need to get your town back into sorts, here is an entertaining source for reflection that might tame a few tiffs.  There is nothing like a good laugh!  Playful and filled with wonderful vocabulary.
