Before I Leave

Aaron the Anteater and Zelda the hedgehog are the best of friends.  They spend hours together fishing, drawing and generally being just right for each other.

The day comes when Zelda finds out her family is moving. The hedgehogs are going to a new home.  Out in the forest there is a sold sign next to Zelda's house of wood.

Zelda sadly tells her friend Aaron the Anteater.  She doesn't want to go without him.  She even tries to pack him in a suitcase so she can take him with her.

How do you say goodbye to someone who is so special to you?

The wonder and warmth of this story comes from how much these two friends enjoy being together and from the charmingly delicate world they live in.

The tender feelings are mirrored in the gentle, kind colors and images on every page.

Lovely book and perfect for the most sensitive of young hearts.

"How do you say goodbye to your best friend?

When a little hedgehog's family tells her they're moving far away, she and her anteater best friend decide to play one last time, like nothing is changing. And though it's hard, they discover that while some things have to change, the most important things find a way of working out."--from the publisher
