She's way above him in the social circles.  He's a handsome, some say "delicious" war hero. Life is about to jolt them together and all of their social games and battle tested survival skills will be confronted with an entirely new world consisting of the two of them and an unseen force that clearly holds an agenda of its own.

Lilac LaRoux, heiress to the LaRoux Industries Empire, richest girl in the galaxy is about to take off her glove carefully one finger at a time and then she'll let it fall.  The whole time she's watching Major Merendsen and when that glove hits the ground it will be the Major, the war hero,  who leans forward to pick it up, exactly according to Lilac LaRoux's plan.

What Lilac did not plan is the complete dysfunction of the ship that is racing them through space.  The Icarus is its name and bigger than a city, it's the largest ship in the galaxy.  Nothing can touch this ship.  No one could ever imagine it losing its power and careening through space toward a fiery crash on a nearby planet.

In the chaos of the moments when the passengers realize they'll have to abandon ship, Lilac separates from her bodyguard and it's Tarver Merendsen, the Major, who grabs her and rushes her to an escape pod.  In the next moments as the ship deconstructs itself, Tarver and Lilac are speeding from the Icarus and find themselves crash landing on a nearby planet.

What went wrong?  How could the Icarus have become so incapacitated?  How long will it take Lilac's powerful father and his rescue ships to find her and take her back into the world where she belongs?

As the two meld into a team, Tarver rapidly discovers that Lilac is not just a pretty face.  Lilac finds herself opening to the possibility that this war hero is more than just a poster boy.  Neither wants to acknowledge the feelings that are rising between them.

It will be up to them to find their way back to the remnants of the crash of the Icarus with the hope of finding enough of a power source to transmit a distress signal and as they set forth on their journey they discover that there is something or someone else on this planet.

This is a love story above all things.  We're talking tension and passion and hope.  She's beautiful and rich beyond imagination and he is handsome, strong and heroic.  For anyone who watched the Titanic over and over again just to see the romance grow, this is destined to be a favorite.
