“I’m super excited to participate in the Duchess Tea Company Scone Bake-Off. I hope you’ll enjoy following along as I work to create an original, extra-delicious scone.” Annie and her friends Zoe and Genna, have saved Annie’s grandmother’s tea shop, The Steeping Leaf from closing. It’s the summer before high school. Annie is entering a scone baking contest that could result into a trip to London! Now all she needs is enough blog followers and the perfect scone recipe. Guess she’ll have to rely on the other Teashop Girls as well as annoying Zach if she’s going to win. Although this picks up not long after the first book, The Teashop Girls, left off, this one can be read alone. The author includes lots of tea lore as well as recipes for scones. This is sure to be a hit with tween girls looking for unique ways to celebrate their friendships.
